Blue Wavers Honored This Summer07/01/2014, 12:30pm PDT

Brea Olinda 2014 grad Cameron Bishop heads a long list of present and former Blue Wave players that have been honored this summer for their achievements on and off the field. 

Bishop was featured in a major article in the OC Register June 20 entitled, "Catching The Draft," which profiles the young left-hander who is headed to UCI this fall and will bypass a shot at the pros after being drafted by the Arizona Diamondbacks in the 32nd round in this year's MLB draft.

Besides the recent recognition by the Register, Bishop was also named 2014 Century League Pitcher of the Year and selected for the league's First Team honors, along with Blue Wave alumn Kyle Kasser (Brea) and Daniel Jang (Brea), who was named "Utility Player Of The Year." Blue Waver Jeff Zordani (Brea) was selected for Century League 2nd team honors.

Brett Olson - Corona Del Mar - Pacific Coast League First Team.
Chase Augustus - University - Pacific Coast League First Team.
Austin Bourassa - University - Pacific Coast League First Team.
Jake Hazard - Beckman - Pacific Coast League Second Team.
Tyler Geurts - Beckman - Pacific Coast League Second Team.
Adam Lamar - Beckman - Pacific Coast League Second Team.
Cody Tyo - Northwood - Pacific Coast League Second Team.
Tyler Duncan - Corona Del Mar - Pacific Coast League Second Team.
Sam Younesi - Corona Del Mar - Pacific Coast League Second Team.
Cameron Aufderheide - Trabuco Hills - South Coast League Second Team.

Louis Raymond - Dana Hills - MVP Sea View League.

Louis Raymond (Dana Hills) was also honored by the OC Register and named to the All-County Team. Raymond was Sea View League player of the year. He batted .321 with 26 hits and 23 RBIs.

Raymond also was valuable to the league champion Dolphins as a pitcher. He was 10-4 with a 2.07 ERA. He pitched four complete games, including a four-hitter when Dana Hills beat San Clemente to clinch the league title. Raymond threw two shutouts and allowed only 14 walks in 84 innings.
