BLUE WAVE GETS J.O. BERTHBlue Wave Baseball has received its official berth for the USA Baseball 16U Championships (commonly called the "Junior Olympics" and will field a team in the June 18-24th event in Peoria, AZ that features the top 3,000 16-year-old baseball players in the nation. Blue Wave is now recruiting outstanding high school players for the week-long event and to play this summer with the organization's top 16U Mickey Mantle, 17U Don Mattingly, and 18U Connie Mack teams. If interested in playing in the J.O. this summer or any of Blue Wave's showcase teams contact Steve Kruse at 949-743-2335 or steve@bluewavebaseball.com JONESBORO 12U MAKING WAVES Blue Wave Baseball's new 12U team in Jonesboro, AR, not only won the first five games they have played together, they brought home their first championship - the USSSA Frozen Ropes Tournament title (March 5-7). Coach Bret LeVier's team outscored their opponents 53-10 over the course of the weekend where they defeated three of the teams by mercy rule. Those interested in trying out for any Blue Wave team should contact Steve Kruse at 949-743-2335 or send an eMail to steve@bluewavebaseball.com HIGH SCHOOL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM Blue Wave has started a high school development program for 7th and 8th graders at Beckman High School to give players the opportunity to train and play at 60x90 and better prepare for high school tryouts. This is an ideal program for players targeting Beckman, the teams are coached by Beckman JV coach Rich Pohle and assistant coach Jon Rodriquez. The group practices twice a week (Mondays and Wednesdays) and plays league and tournament games each weekend. New players can join at any time for additional practices and games.
