Blue Wave 10U took home the championship trophy Sunday (April 10) in a one-day Hardcore Youth Baseball tournament in Rowland Heights, CA.
Coach Mike Fuch’s squad went 2-1 on the day, losing to Gates Baseball Academy 6-7 in the first game of the day. After drubbnig the Rowland Heights Baseball team 8-1, the Wave found themselves in a rematch with Gates Baseball Academy in the championship game, which the Wave won 9-8.
“It was a great game, all the boys did well and came back to show they could beat a team that had defeated us in the first game of the day,” Coach Fuchs reported. “We have a solid core group of players and are building on it, we think we can develop a very competitive team over the remainder of Spring season and heading into the Summer.”
Members of the 10U team this weekend included Nolan Yano, Kyle Hoskins, Connor Craig, Todd Vought, Cameron Thomas, Ryan Kin, Chad Lemmons, Ryan Belda, Ricky Russell, Joey Murphy, and Joshua Alvarez.
